Emotion for me is the main driver of my artistic expression. My subjects are mainly young girls or young women suave, sensuous, voluptuous, sometimes dreamy, sometimes asserted. Without going into details, I think that a combination of what I dreamed of being in childhood, and what I’d like to be is in my work, hence the dream, melancholy, sensuality. But am I aware that? My characters have often an enigmatic air which calls the viewer. The smoothness of the pastel is for me the ideal technique to convey these emotions.
